Compatible Replacement Filter

Polyphosphate Scale & Corrosion Inhibitor Filter

Compatible replacement for Intelifil IF-SM-SCI010, manufactured by IPW Industries using NSF-certified polyphosphate media
9.75" × 2.75" 10 Micron Nominal 25,000 Gallon Capacity NSF 42 & 60 Certified

This polyphosphate cartridge applies a protective coating to pipes and appliances, preventing scale buildup and corrosion while sequestering iron to stop precipitation. The slow-dissolving NSF 42 and NSF 60 certified clear bead media creates a self-healing barrier that extends the life of your plumbing system and water-using equipment.

HOW IT WORKS

Three-Layer Protection Against Scale and Corrosion

1
FILTRATION

Sediment Reduction

10 micron nominal rating removes particulate matter while allowing polyphosphate media to interact with dissolved minerals in the water stream.

2
SEQUESTRATION

Iron and Mineral Control

NSF-certified polyphosphate beads sequester iron and bind with calcium and magnesium, preventing precipitation and keeping minerals in solution rather than depositing on surfaces.

3
PROTECTION

Pipe and Appliance Coating

Slow-dissolving crystals create a self-healing polyphosphate film on interior pipe walls and appliance surfaces, forming a barrier against future scale formation and corrosion.

Up to 25,000 gallons service life

Drop-In Replacement for Standard 10" Housings

This filter is a compatible replacement for the Intelifil IF-SM-SCI010 and fits any standard 10-inch filter housing with 2.5-inch inner diameter. Suitable for whole-house systems, point-of-entry applications, and RO pre-treatment where scale and corrosion control is needed. Note that phosphates provide nutrients for bacteria and should only be used with chlorinated municipal water or in systems equipped with bacterial control such as UV sterilization, KDF media, or ceramic filters. Not recommended for non-chlorinated well water without additional microbial protection.
