Filter review
We installed the Kitchen Defender from SweetWater LLC a couple of years back and found three filters you supply to be great replacements for that system. We live in Tampa Florida which has smelly water with many other nasty chemicals in it. These 3 folters combined remove all odor and even make great smelling Ice in our Icemaker.

Questions & Answers

Q: which stage of a five stage filtration system does this go in? there is carbon filters in the pre-carbon filters. Does it go in the sediment tank? or the last tank between the reserve and faucet line?

A: I'm going to assume that your"five stage filtration system"is a reverse osmosis system. If so, this filter works best at a very low flow rate. Intelifil rates this filter at 0.10 GPM. So if you want to maximize the effectiveness of this filter, then you want to put it where flow is lowest which is anywhere after the membrane. Anywhere before the membrane will have a slightly less effectiveness due to the higher flow rate (approx. 0.17 gpm for 50 gpd membrane)but it is not that much less. If you have 2 pre carbons, then you can take out either pre carbon for the activated alumina filter.
