INSTALLATION & USE
Electrode Setup
- Remove the protective cap from the electrode tip and check that the gel electrolyte is intact and the junction cloth is moist.
- Align the screw cap threads on the electrode with your compatible Hanna pH meter and hand-tighten until secure.
- Rinse the electrode tip with distilled water before first use and calibrate the meter according to manufacturer instructions.
- After taking measurements, rinse the electrode and store it in pH storage solution or tap water to maintain junction hydration.
COMPATIBILITY
Fits Hanna Meters
This spare electrode is designed for Hanna portable and benchtop pH meters that use screw cap electrode connections. The HI1270 is ideal for field applications, water quality testing, and general-purpose pH measurement where a durable, replaceable sensor is needed. Confirm your meter's electrode connection type before ordering.
🔧 Pro Tip: The cloth junction can dry out between uses. If your electrode response becomes sluggish, soak the tip in pH 4 buffer solution for 30 minutes to rehydrate the junction before recalibrating.
