Phosphate Treatment Process
As water flows through the filter body, it dissolves a controlled amount of phosphate crystals. These phosphate ions sequester calcium and magnesium ions in solution, preventing them from precipitating as hard scale on surfaces. The same chemistry provides a protective film on metal surfaces to reduce corrosion and oxidation staining from iron.
Recommended Applications
The AF-10-3314-BB fits any standard 10-inch Big Blue housing with 4.5-inch inner diameter. Ideal for ice machines, coffee equipment, vending machines, food service applications, water heaters, air conditioning systems, and other commercial or whole-house installations where scale or corrosion are concerns. Replace cartridge when scale buildup becomes visible or when equipment performance declines, typically every 6 to 12 months depending on water hardness and flow volume.
